Triprasa Development Committee and Triprasa Contractor Committee submitted a deputation to the Executive Engineer of the Dhalai Zone of TTADC.

For the past few years, the works in the Dhalai Zone of TTADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council), under the PWD Dhalai Division, have been carried out through restricted and selected contractors. In protest of this, on Tuesday, the Triprasa Development Committee and Triprasa Contractor Committee submitted a deputation to the Executive Engineer of the Dhalai Zone of TTADC, Uday Shankar Jamatia, at the Subnagar office in Ambasa subdivision. On this day, both committee presidents, Pradip Riyan and Raju Chandra Riyan, handed over a memorandum to Executive Engineer Uday Shankar Jamatia. While giving the deputation, Pradip Riyan stated that this has been happening in the same way for the past few years. In protest, they submitted the deputation today. They demand that works should not be done through restricted and selected contractors. They want an open tender process so that everyone can participate. The Triprasa Contractor Committee has issued a warning that if their demands are not met within three days, they will lock down the zonal office.
