Awareness Programme on Road Safety at Unakoti KalaKshetra

An exceptional awareness programme on road safety was organized on Tuesday, 8th July at 6 PM at the Unakoti Kala Kshetra in Kailashahar. The initiative was taken by Zara Foundation in collaboration with the Transport Department of the Government of Tripura. The core message of the event was:

“Let roads be a path of peace, not death. Livelihood comes after life—No more road accidents.”

The primary objective of the programme was to raise public awareness about road safety and encourage collective responsibility toward building an accident-free society. With the rising number of road accidents every day in our country, such initiatives have become the need of the hour.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, inaugurated by Chapala Debroy, Chairperson of Kailashahar Municipal Council. Dignitaries present included Pradip Sarkar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mobashwar Ali, Chairman of Tripura Waqf Board, Mosahid Ali, head of Zara Foundation, along with officials from the traffic department.

In their speeches, the speakers highlighted that road safety is an integral part of our daily lives. They pointed out that most road accidents result from negligence, lack of awareness, and non-compliance with traffic rules.

Simple precautions—such as using zebra crossings, following traffic signals, and wearing helmets and seatbelts—can prevent many accidents. They emphasized that whether we are pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, or passengers, we all share the responsibility of staying safe and ensuring the safety of others.

Such programmes do not just make individuals aware but also help spread awareness across communities. As the speakers rightly said, one person’s caution is not enough; everyone must follow the rules. If we all become more conscious, the number of road accidents can be significantly reduced.

The event saw a notable turnout, including students from schools and colleges, guardians, teachers, local social workers, drivers, and pedestrians. Through this initiative, a strong message was sent to the public — safe roads are everyone’s right and responsibility.

Zara Foundation has long been involved in organizing various social awareness programmes. This recent effort is undoubtedly another step toward making commuters more responsible and saving many lives.

The programme concluded with a special cultural performance by the renowned National Rhythm Orchestra of Tripura, organized by Zara Foundation at Unakoti Kala Kshetra.

The event ended with a collective appeal to all: “Let’s say together: No more road accidents! We demand safe roads for all!”

Congress Protest Rally in Kailashahar Against Attack on MLA Gopal Roy

Kailashahar, July 7:

A rare and striking scene unfolded today on the streets of Kailashahar. Loud slogans, banners, festoons, and a surge of people turned the city into a hub of political resistance. The air was heavy with the chants of protest.

The reason behind this demonstration was the brutal attack on Tripura Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Ray. Allegations suggest that the assault was carried out with the intent to kill, orchestrated by BJP-affiliated goons. In response, the Kailashahar District Congress Committee organized this protest rally to strongly condemn the incident.

The protest was led by the respected President of the Kailashahar District Congress Committee, Mr. Md. Badruzzaman. His resolute voice echoed the message loud and clear—Congress will not tolerate any injustice.

Among those who joined the rally were: Rudrendu Bhattacharya, former General Secretary of the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee, Ranu Mia, General Secretary of the District Congress Committee, Abdul Hadi, Acting President of the Block Congress Committee. Numerous other Congress leaders, workers, and local citizens

The protest rally began in front of the District Congress Bhavan, marched through key routes in the city, and concluded at the same starting point. After the rally, District Congress President Badruzzaman addressed the media, stating that when MLA Gopal Ray went to attend a party event in his constituency, BJP Yuva Morcha activists attacked him. He further alleged that in the presence of police, the MLA was locked inside a house and held captive.

Later, a large contingent of police rescued Gopal Ray. Badruzzaman stated, “There is no democracy left in this state. Democracy is under siege.” He confirmed that a police complaint has been filed against the accused, demanding an impartial investigation and strict punishment for those responsible.

The protest also highlighted other issues, such as the covert hike in electricity tariffs, skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, and the lack of employment opportunities for the youth. These concerns added fuel to the agitation.

The rally demanded immediate restoration of democratic values in the state. Mohammad Badruzzaman urged the public to join the fight to save democracy. He also issued a warning—if the government does not withdraw anti-people decisions like electricity tariff hikes and fails to address unemployment, the Congress will be compelled to launch a larger movement in the coming days.  While political differences are natural in a democracy, an attack on an elected representative is both condemnable and alarming. Today’s protest made it clear that the Congress party will not remain silent. This incident has already stirred fresh turbulence in Tripura’s political landscape. All eyes are now on the authorities, waiting to see if justice will prevail.

গত এক দশকে ভারতের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থায় এসেছে এক অভূতপূর্ব রূপান্তর। প্রযুক্তির দ্রুত অগ্রগতির ফলে, যে শিক্ষা একসময় শুধুমাত্র বই-খাতা, ব্ল্যাকবোর্ড আর শ্রেণিকক্ষের মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিল, আজ তা পৌঁছে গেছে মোবাইল ফোন, ল্যাপটপ, ট্যাবলেট, স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুম এবং অনলাইন কোর্সের মাধ্যমে ঘরে ঘরে। ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তি শিক্ষাকে করে তুলেছে আরও সহজ, গণমুখী, অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক ও সময়োপযোগী।
২০১৫ সালে প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির নেতৃত্বে “ডিজিটাল ইন্ডিয়া” কর্মসূচি শুরু হওয়ার পর থেকেই শিক্ষা খাতকে প্রযুক্তির সঙ্গে যুক্ত করার এক বিশাল উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়। NEP 2020 (জাতীয় শিক্ষা নীতি) অনুসারে শিক্ষা হবে বহুমুখী, প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর ও দক্ষতা ভিত্তিক।
সরকার চালু করে একাধিক ডিজিটাল শিক্ষামূলক প্ল্যাটফর্ম:
DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing): এই প্ল্যাটফর্মে ৩৫টি ভাষায় বিভিন্ন ক্লাসের ই-বুক, ভিডিও লেকচার, কুইজ ও মূল্যায়ন ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। আজ পর্যন্ত ৫০ কোটি শিক্ষার্থী এই প্ল্যাটফর্ম ব্যবহার করেছে।
SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds): উচ্চশিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ফ্রি অনলাইন কোর্স। এখানে ২০০০-এরও বেশি কোর্স রয়েছে।
e-Pathshala: NCERT-এর ডিজিটাল পাঠ্যবই, অডিও, ভিডিও, কুইজ সহ একটি সম্পূর্ণ অ্যাপ। PM eVIDYA: One Nation One Digital Platform - এর অংশ হিসেবে সারা দেশে ‘চান্দা টিভি’ চ্যানেলে শ্রেণি অনুসারে পাঠ সম্প্রচার। এছাড়া রাজ্য সরকারগুলিও (যেমন: কেরালা, তামিলনাড়ু, মহারাষ্ট্র, দিল্লি) নিজেদের মতো করে ডিজিটাল শিক্ষার ব্যবস্থা চালু করেছে।
২০২০ সালের মার্চে কোভিড-১৯ মহামারির কারণে যখন দেশের সব স্কুল-কলেজ বন্ধ হয়ে যায়, তখন অনলাইন শিক্ষা ছিল একমাত্র ভরসা। Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams-এর মতো ভিডিও প্ল্যাটফর্মে শিক্ষকেরা ঘরে বসে শিক্ষাদান শুরু করেন।
সরকারি ও বেসরকারি উদ্যোগে হাজার হাজার অনলাইন কোর্স তৈরি হয়। শিশুরাও প্রথমবার অনলাইন পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেয়, এবং অনেক শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে ডিজিটাল অ্যাসাইনমেন্ট চালু হয়।
এক জরিপে দেখা গেছে: ২০২০-২১ সালের মধ্যে ভারতে ২৪ কোটি শিক্ষার্থী অনলাইন শিক্ষায় অংশ নেয়। BYJU’S, Vedantu, Unacademy-এর মতো অ্যাপগুলোতে ২০২১-২২ সালে ব্যবহারকারী বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় প্রায় ১০ কোটিতে। ইউটিউবে শিক্ষাবিষয়ক চ্যানেলগুলোর দর্শকসংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি পায় ২০০%।
প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর শিক্ষায় শিক্ষকদের ভূমিকা বদলেছে। আগে যেখানে শুধু মুখে বোঝানো হতো, এখন ভিডিও, অ্যানিমেশন, মাল্টিমিডিয়ার মাধ্যমে বোঝানো হয়। তাই শিক্ষককেও প্রযুক্তিতে দক্ষ হতে হচ্ছে। সরকার CBSE ও NCERT-এর মাধ্যমে শিক্ষক প্রশিক্ষণের ডিজিটাল কোর্স চালু করেছে। এখন পর্যন্ত DIKSHA-তে ৪০ লাখেরও বেশি শিক্ষক প্রশিক্ষণ সম্পন্ন করেছেন। ভারত আজ বিশ্বের অন্যতম বৃহৎ EdTech (Education + Technology) হাব। বেশ কিছু উদ্ভাবনী প্রতিষ্ঠান শিক্ষাকে ব্যবসার গণ্ডি ছাড়িয়ে সাধারণ মানুষের দোরগোড়ায় পৌঁছে দিয়েছে।
উদাহরণ হিসাবে, BYJU’S: বর্তমানে ১৫ কোটিরও বেশি শিক্ষার্থী যুক্ত। ইন্টার‌্যাক্টিভ ভিডিও, কুইজ, লাইভ ক্লাসের মাধ্যমে শেখায়।  Vedantu: ভারচুয়াল লাইভ ক্লাস সিস্টেম, স্কুল ও জেইই/নিট প্রস্তুতির জন্য জনপ্রিয়।
Unacademy: UPSC সহ প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষার প্রস্তুতিতে অগ্রণী। PhysicsWallah: মধ্যবিত্ত ও গ্রামীণ শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য সুলভ মূল্যে উচ্চমানের অনলাইন শিক্ষা।
 ডিজিটাল শিক্ষার উপকারিতাও আছে অনেক, গ্রাম থেকে শহর, সবখানেই এক মানের শিক্ষা পাওয়া সম্ভব ।  যাতায়াত ছাড়াই ক্লাস করা যায় । ভিডিও, কুইজ, ই-বুক ইচ্ছেমতো সময়ে দেখা ।
কুইজ, এসাইনমেন্টের মাধ্যমে দ্রুত ফলাফল ।  কোডিং, ডাটা অ্যানালিটিক্স, ডিজাইন প্রভৃতি আধুনিক বিষয়ে কোর্স সহজলভ্য
তবে প্রযুক্তির এই জয়যাত্রার মাঝেও রয়েছে কিছু বাধা, গ্রামীণ ভারতে এখনও ৪৫% শিক্ষার্থীর নেই স্মার্টফোন বা নিরবিচ্ছিন্ন ইন্টারনেট । ধনী-গরিব, শহর-গ্রাম—এই ব্যবধান ডিজিটাল বিভাজন সৃষ্টি করছে । শিক্ষকের প্রযুক্তি জ্ঞান সীমিত: অনেক প্রবীণ শিক্ষক অনলাইন ক্লাস নিতে দ্বিধাগ্রস্ত । অনলাইন প্ল্যাটফর্মে পড়াশোনার পরিবর্তে গেমিং ও সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় আসক্তির ঝুঁকি ।অনলাইন পরীক্ষায় নকল বা ফাঁকি দেওয়া সহজ ।
চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবিলায় সরকার ও সমাজকে এগিয়ে আসতে হবে। প্রয়োজন: সকলের জন্য সাশ্রয়ী ডিভাইস ও ইন্টারনেট, ডিজিটাল শিক্ষায় বিনামূল্যে প্রবেশাধিকার,
গ্রামে ডিজিটাল অবকাঠামো উন্নয়ন, শিক্ষকদের নিয়মিত প্রশিক্ষণ,  শিশুদের নিরাপদ ও নিয়ন্ত্রিত প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার নিশ্চিতকরণ ।
জাতীয় শিক্ষা নীতি ২০২০ অনুযায়ী, ভবিষ্যতের শিক্ষা হবে "Tech-enabled blended learning", অর্থাৎ অনলাইন ও অফলাইন শিক্ষার সমন্বয়ে। ভার্চুয়াল রিয়্যালিটি (VR), কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI), মেশিন লার্নিং (ML)-এর মতো প্রযুক্তি শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থায় বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তন আনবে।
ভারতের শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার ভবিষ্যতের পথনির্দেশক। সঠিক পরিকল্পনা, প্রশিক্ষণ, অবকাঠামো ও সমতার ভিত্তিতে ডিজিটাল শিক্ষা হতে পারে ভারতের ১৩৫ কোটির মানুষের জ্ঞান ভিত্তিক উন্নয়নের ভিত্তি। আজকের শিক্ষার্থী প্রযুক্তিকে যথাযথভাবে ব্যবহার করলে সে শুধু চাকরি নয়, বরং উদ্ভাবনের পথে এগিয়ে যাবে—আর এভাবেই গড়ে উঠবে এক আত্মনির্ভর, প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর, আধুনিক ভারত ।

আগরতলা, ৪ জুলাই: ২০২৫ সালের উত্তর-পূর্ব NSS উৎসব এবং স্কাউট ও গাইডদের জন্য “এক ভারত শ্রেষ্ঠ ভারত” থিমে অনুষ্ঠিতব্য প্রথম জাতীয় ইন্টিগ্রেশন ক্যাম্প-কে কেন্দ্র করে আজ শিক্ষা ভবনের যুব বিষয়ক ও ক্রীড়া অধিদপ্তরের কনফারেন্স হলে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রস্তুতিমূলক সভা।

সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন সমাজকল্যাণ সমাজ শিক্ষা যুব ও ক্রীড়া বিষয়ক এবং শ্রমদপ্তরের মন্ত্রী টিংকু রায় । এছাড়াও রাজ্য প্রশাসনের বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের উচ্চপদস্থ আধিকারিকরা। এই দু’টি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জাতীয় স্তরের কর্মসূচিকে সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করার লক্ষ্যে নানা দিক নিয়ে গঠনমূলক ও ফলপ্রসূ আলোচনা হয়। কর্মসূচিগুলির পরিকল্পনা, সমন্বয়, নিরাপত্তা, আবাসন ও অন্যান্য পরিকাঠামোগত বিষয়গুলি নিয়ে বিশদ আলোচনা করা হয় সভায়।

সভায় অংশগ্রহণকারীরা আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন, এই ধরনের উদ্যোগ কেবলমাত্র যুব সমাজের মনন ও চরিত্র গঠনে সহায়ক হবে না, বরং জাতীয় সংহতি ও সাংস্কৃতিক আদান-প্রদানেও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে। সকলের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় এবারের উত্তর-পূর্ব NSS উৎসব এবং “এক ভারত শ্রেষ্ঠ ভারত” থিমে আয়োজিত জাতীয় ইন্টিগ্রেশন ক্যাম্প একটি স্মরণীয় ও গর্বের অধ্যায় হয়ে উঠবে— এমনটাই মত সভায় উপস্থিত আধিকারিকদের।

উল্লেখ্য, এই দুই কর্মসূচিই রাজ্যের জন্য এক বিশেষ সম্মান এবং সুযোগ, যা ত্রিপুরাকে জাতীয় পর্যায়ে এক নতুন উচ্চতায় পৌঁছে দেবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে।

Massive Response to 'Dharti Aba Jan Bhagidari' Campaign, Over 37,000 Beneficiaries

A crucial press conference was held at the Kailashahar District Magistrate’s office to present the progress of various government services and the outcomes of the recently concluded 'Dharti Aba Jan Bhagidari' campaign.

Unakoti District Magistrate Tamal Majumdar shared detailed information during the press meet, accompanied by Additional District Magistrate L. Darlong, District Inspector of the Department of Social Education and Welfare Vidyasagar Debbarma, and other senior officials.

The District Magistrate stated that the 15-day campaign, conducted from June 15 to June 30, covered 21 localities under 17 ADC villages. Through direct outreach and special service camps, a wide range of citizen services were delivered on the ground. Various departments worked in mission mode throughout the campaign, resulting in 37,800 people benefitting from the initiative.

Highlights from the campaign include:

Issuance of 2,000 Aadhaar cards, mainly for children aged 0–5 years.

Identification of 9 TB patients at health camps.

1,559 people benefited under the Ayushman Bharat scheme (both PM and CM versions).

1,803 individuals were issued ST certificates.

20 landless individuals received land allotment documents (patta).

285 farmers received Kisan Credit Cards.

672 individuals were brought under different pension schemes.

23 families gained access to formal banking services.

790 people were enrolled under insurance schemes.

287 new LPG connections were provided under the Ujjwala Yojana.

19 artisans benefitted from the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

386 new ration cards were distributed.

151 small-scale entrepreneurs were selected for Mudra loan benefits.

The District Magistrate emphasized that the campaign was shaped based on direct community feedback gathered during door-to-door visits. To ensure no one was left out of accessing services, departments coordinated in "saturation mode."

One notable achievement was the sanctioning of 19 new Anganwadi centers in tribal areas, 18 of which have already started operating from July 1. The remaining center will open soon. As a result, nearly 100% of tribal children in these areas are now covered under Anganwadi services.

Overall, the "Dharti Aba Jan Bhagidari" campaign has significantly raised awareness and access to essential services among tribal communities. Experts view this as a clear demonstration of the government’s citizen-centric approach.
